Norwegian Foot March

The US Army School of Music in partnership with the MWR Fort Story Gym is hosting the rigorous Norwegian Foot March! The march is an endurance test that involves rucking 30 kilometers with a 24lb rucksack. Any U.S. Soldier completing the march under the time requirement will be eligible for the Norwegian Foot March Badge. 

This event will take place in the trails of Fort Story, VA as well as some hard pavement. All participants must bring their own rucksack and all military personnel are required to wear a military uniform to earn the badge. 

The event will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 9 am In the case of an inclement weather, the alternate event date will be on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 9 am. 

The event is open to all participants. Must be 18 or older to participate. 

All civilians must sign a liability release form in order to participate. 

Registration ends on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Available to the first 250 applicants. All other applicants will be waitlisted and notified of any openings. 

All applicants attempting a silver or gold badge will be asked to provide proof of previous successful completions.
